The Metro in Istanbul is limited but very convenient and clean. As of March 2009, there was a main underground metro line running from Levent to Taksim. A secondary line continues south to Sishane, close to the Galata Tower and a third line runs north from Levent towards Maslak.

Akbils or tokens are needed. Tokens can be purchased from the kiosks.
